1.India gets its name from the River Indus.

2.The National Flag of India is made of khadi cloth of silk or cotton.

3.The saffron colour represents sacrifice ,white colour represents truth, peace and purity and Green colour of the flag denotes prosperity.The Ashok Chakra represents the Laws of Dharma.


4.India’s national anthem was written by  Rabindra nath Tagore.


5.At the time of independence, we did not have any National Anthem and was adopted on 24 January 1950.


6.India’s national song “Vande Mataram” was written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee.




7.Lord Mountbatten was a busy person during the time of independence for transfering power ceremony in Karachi on 14th August and next day in Delhi as well on 15th August 1947.



8.India had 562 princely states during the time of independent.Sardar Vallabhai Patel and other leaders perform different techniques to adjoin these princely states to form India state.





9.Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is known as "The Father of Indian Constitution".
